New Saint Seiya: Dark Wing Manga to Launch in September

Titan Manga has exciting news for fans of the Saint Seiya franchise! The first volume of Saint Seiya: Dark Wing, a spinoff created by Kenji Saitō and illustrated by Nobuyuki Ueda, is set for release on September 16. The second volume will follow on December 16.

Story Overview

The manga introduces us to Shōichirō, an ordinary high school student thrust into an extraordinary conflict. Selected as Wyvern, one of the feared Judges of the Underworld, he faces the daunting task of battling the forces of Athena in an epic war that pits life against death.

When an unexpected ambush during a school trip sends Shōichirō and his classmates into the land of the dead, they find themselves in a fierce struggle against the gods and their warriors. Originally debuting in Monthly Champion RED in December 2020, Saint Seiya: Dark Wing has already garnered significant attention. The sixth compiled volume was published by Akita Shoten on August 20.

The Legacy of Saint Seiya

Saint Seiya first captured audiences with its original manga, penned by Masami Kurumada between 1986 and 1990. This beloved series has inspired an array of adaptations, including television anime and animated films.

Viz Media released the original manga in English as Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac.
ADV Films distributed the anime adaptation with an English dub under the title Knights of the Zodiac.
