New Live-Action Series Inspired by Anpanman
On June 20, NHK aired a special episode of Anpan, part of its iconic Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (Morning Drama) franchise, which has been running for over six decades. This episode aired at 8:00 a.m. and achieved a 16.8% rating, while a separate episode on June 17 at 12:45 p.m. garnered an 11.9% rating.
The new weekday morning series is inspired by the life story of Takashi Yanase, the creator of Anpanman, and his wife, Nobuo Komatsu. This series aims to bring to life the inspiring journey behind the beloved manga and anime.
