Platforms
The game will be available on:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Nintendo Switch
- PC via Steam
Game Overview
Bandai Namco describes Towa and the Guardian of the Sacred Tree as follows:
Set in distant lands, the tranquil Shinju Village faces threats from the evil Magatsu, who seeks domination. Towa, the village's priestess, teams up with eight distinct companions to defeat Magatsu and his minions.
Players will choose two Guardians for each quest — one wielding the sacred sword Tsurugi and the other carrying the magical staff Kagura. Each guardian has unique skills, which can be unlocked and upgraded inside dungeons and through meta-progression in the village hub.
Players can gather crafting materials to forge and upgrade weapons, making each guardian and combat style unique. As they progress through various timelines, the village will evolve, and players can build bonds with residents, uncovering their stories and customs.
The ultimate goal: conquer dungeons, defeat enemies, and restore peace to Shinju Village.
Music Composition
The soundtrack for the game is being composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, known for his work on many acclaimed titles.
