Remembering Ukyou Takao: A Celebrated Manga Artist

Takao, a talented manga creator, has recently passed away. His family announced via his X/Twitter account on July 5 that Takao died on June 30 due to a heart attack. They held a private funeral to honor his memory.

Ukyou Takao is best known for his work on manga adaptations of popular anime series, especially those based on visual novels.

• To Heart: Takao's manga adaptation of the iconic To Heart television anime. The original manga was published in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh from 1997 to 1999.
• To Heart Remember my memories: A sequel manga that ran in the same magazine in 2005.
• English Release: The manga was published in English by ADV Manga.
