The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Tsuyokute New Saga, based on Masayuki Abe's light novel series, has announced key details about the series set to air in July.
Series Overview
Tsuyokute New Saga (a playful reference to 'replay mode') is a fantasy story set in a world ravaged by demons. The protagonist, Kyle, manages to defeat the demon king with his last strength, but is suddenly sent four years into the past. Armed with memories of his past life, he aims to change history and prevent tragedy.

Release Details
The anime is scheduled to premiere in July on the Tokyo MX and ABC channels. However, it was delayed from its original July 2023 schedule due to various circumstances.

Production Changes
Naoki Mizusawa will now direct the series with production at Sotsu and Studio Clutch, replacing the previously announced director Norikazu Ishigooka. The animation will be handled in cooperation with Studio Massket.
Series script duties are managed by Kenta Ihara, known for works like Cautious Hero and Saga of Tanya the Evil. Original character designs are drafted by Nilitsu, with Atsushi Asahi credited for character designs.
The music will be composed by Shachō of SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS and Hironori Anazawa, contributing to the show's atmosphere.
Story Background
In a world devastated by demons, Kyle defeats the demon king only to be sent back four years. With his memories intact, he seeks to prevent the tragedy from unfolding again.
Source Material and Manga
The story originally started serializing on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012 before moving to AlphaPolis in 2013. It was later published in print, with the first volume released in April 2013 and the tenth in June 2018.
A manga adaptation by Jun Miura ran from February 2014 until its conclusion in July 2023. The manga's tenth volume was published in October 2022, and the series will end with its upcoming 11th volume.
The manga is available in English through Alpha Manga under the title New Saga. The final volume's release date will be announced soon.
