'Umi ga Hashiru Endroll' Manga to Conclude with Ninth Volume

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of John Tarachine's manga Umi ga Hashiru Endroll (The Seas Roll on the End Credits) announced on Tuesday that the series will end with the ninth volume.

About the Series

Tarachine's manga follows the story of Umiko, a 65-year-old woman mourning the recent loss of her husband. She visits a movie theater for the first time in decades, where she meets Kai, a university student studying film.

Umiko becomes fascinated by the audience's reactions during the movie, and Kai notices her interest. After their encounter, Umiko invites Kai to her home. When Kai asks if she’s interested in making films, Umiko realizes her own passion and begins to explore the world of filmmaking.
