First Look: Action Clip Released
On Saturday, Netflix released a clip showcasing a gripping fight scene from the film, featuring Shūhei Sakata, the main character, as he discreetly dispatches his foes.

Plot Overview
The story of Demon City follows Shūhei Sakata, who has been wrongfully accused of murdering his wife and child. Although he survives a suicide attempt, his life takes a dark turn as he spends 15 years in a prison hospital, dealing with the aftermath of the accusations and a disability. After his release, he experiences a life-changing encounter that helps him regain his physical abilities.

Behind the Scenes
Directed by Seiji Tanaka, who also wrote the screenplay, Demon City is produced by Amuse and Digital Frontier. The music for the film is composed by Tomoyasu Hotei, known for his work on Kill Bill and Lupin III live-action films.
Manga Background
Masamichi Kawabe launched the Oni-Goroshi manga in July 2020 in Manga Goraku, published by Nihon Bungeisha. The series concluded in November 2023, with the 15th volume published on September 28 and the 16th and final volume set to be released on February 28.
