The official One Piece fitness gym has exciting news! On Tuesday, they announced that entries are now open for the One Piece Body Make Contest. This event is set to take place on June 1.
Contest Details
According to the One Piece Fitness BragMen gym's website, contestants will compete to see who can best emulate the physique of Monkey D. Luffy, the beloved protagonist of the series. Participants are required to don jean shorts and a straw hat to complete their look.
Judging Criteria
Entrants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
One Piece Elements
- Understanding of One Piece through posing and free posing.
- Ability to reproduce Luffy's look through costume and presentation.
Physique
- Outline of the upper body and S-shape line when viewed from the side.
- Rounded shoulders and a tight waist.
- Latissimus dorsi should be visible from both the front and back.
- Excessive muscle development may lead to point deductions.
- Stylish walking and balanced poses.
- Clean hair, smile, and skin texture.
Required Poses
Contestants must perform the following five poses:
- Front pose
- Back pose
- “Haa” getting fired up pose
- Gear Second pose
- Gum Gum Gatling pose
Additionally, a free pose is required, where entrants can showcase their best representation of Luffy. This pose will also be judged on the contestant's understanding of One Piece.
Free Gym Access
Contestants will have free access to the gym's facilities until May 31, although an entry fee is required. Each entrant will receive a custom One Piece bounty poster featuring their name and photo. Winners (first to third place) will also receive a frame for their wanted poster.
Event Information
The One Piece Body Make Contest will be held at the Culttz Kawasaki Sports and Culture Center. The application deadline is April 30 at 11:59 p.m. Japan Time. Entrants must be male and over 18 years old. The entry form can be found on the Muscle Gate website via Gold's Gym Japan.
