The movie is set to premiere in Japan on March 20, 2025. The story kicks off with Koala asking Butt Detective to locate a missing relative who vanished during an idol contest. This investigation leads Butt Detective to Stardust Island, where he uncovers a conspiracy orchestrated by the Phantom Thief Academy, led by Phantom Thief G. The organization is advancing a secret plan known as the "Dark Age Plan."
Butt Detective infiltrates Stardust Island disguised as an idol and teams up with Phantom Thief U, who aims to recover the precious Moonlight Stone stolen by Phantom Thief G. The film promises to explore Brown's past in greater depth.

About the Franchise
The Butt Detective anime first premiered on NHK Educational in May 2018 with three episodes. Additional episodes followed in July 2018, and the series began regular weekly broadcasts in December 2018. Since then, it has released multiple new episodes, including 13 in April 2021.
The franchise's first standalone feature-length film, "Eiga Oshiri Tantei Shiriarty", opened in Japan in March 2021. The second film, "Eiga Oshiri Tantei Saraba Itoshiki Aibō (Oshiri) yo", premiered in March 2024.
