New Trailers Showcase Characters in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Marvelous USA has started streaming three new character trailers on its YouTube channel for the upcoming game, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (also known as Ryū no Kuni Rune Factory). The trailers provide a closer look at characters Hina, Woolby, and Mauro.

Game Launch Details

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is set to launch worldwide on May 30 for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Story Overview

Marvelous describes the game as an all-new adventure in the never-before-seen country of Azuma. Players will take on the role of an Earth Dancer who aims to restore hope and life to the land. Key features include:

Choosing between two protagonists with intertwined fates.
Engaging in farming, village restoration, and modern combat mechanics.
Exploring vast villages inspired by Japanese culture, each themed by the seasons.
Cultivating relationships with locals to aid in battle and village management.

In this journey, players will wield sacred treasures and harness the Earth Dancer's power to revive Azuma. The adventure awaits!

Background

Previously known as Rune Factory: Project Dragon, this title is one of the new entries in the Rune Factory RPG/farming franchise. Marvelous is also developing Rune Factory 6 alongside this release.

Additionally, Rune Factory 3 Special, a remake of the original game, launched for the Switch in Japan in March 2023, with a Western release in September 2023 via XSEED Games.
