New Trailer and Cast Reveals for Ya Boy Kongming! Live-Action Film
The official website for Ya Boy Kongming! the Movie has just unveiled an exciting new trailer and poster for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Yuto Yotsuba and Ryō Ogawa's hit manga. This fresh preview not only highlights the film's cast but also introduces its catchy insert song, Count on Me, performed by the in-story protagonist Eiko. The track has been composed by Shinya Ishihara, the vocalist of the band SaucyDog.

Details on the Film's Music
The film will feature several other songs:
- Insert Song 1: Again and Again performed by the character Shin, played by Utaha from Wednesday's Campanella. Composition by Sōshi Sakiyama.
- Insert Song 2: New Zone, performed by Mia Iriomote, played by Koharu Sugawara. Composition by Zo Zhit from the hip-hop group Dos Monos.
- Ending Theme: Sing Along!!! composed by Lilas Ikuta, known as ikura from the duo YOASOBI. This marks her second contribution to the franchise following DREAMER for the live-action series.
Avu-chan, from the band Queen Bee, will reprise her role as Maria Diesel, a favorite singer of Eiko. Classical pianist Kamei Masaya will also portray himself in the film.
Other notable cast members include:
- Rinko Kikuchi as Ayvil Suzuki, a music label executive.
- Sōkō Wada as producer Toshihiko Karasawa.
- Cookie! as producer Kisuku Jōnouchi.
- Taichi Kodama as Jōnouchi's subordinate Date.
- Members of TRF, including DJ Koo and SAM, will also be featured.

Film Overview
Set to open on April 25, the film centers around the Music Battle Awards 2025, a high-stakes competition among Japan's leading music labels.

The Paripi Kōmei Road to Summer Sonia compilation film, based on the anime series, will hit Japanese theaters in March 2024. The live-action series premiered in September 2023 and concluded in November 2023.
Manga Background
Originally published by Kodansha USA Publishing, the Ya Boy Kongming! manga follows the life of the legendary strategist Kongming as he reincarnates in modern-day Tokyo, where he navigates the vibrant party scene. The series, launched in December 2019, inspired a successful anime adaptation that debuted in April 2022.
