Exciting News: "A Tale of the Secret Saint" Gets Anime Adaptation!
Shion Wakayama and Shinnosuke Tokudome are set to lend their voices in the upcoming anime adaptation of A Tale of the Secret Saint, a light novel series by Touya with illustrations by chibi. The announcement was made by Earth Star Entertainment on Thursday.

Voice Cast
The anime will feature:
- Shion Wakayama as Fia Ruud
- Shinnosuke Tokudome as Zavilia
- Yūichirō Umehara as Saviz Náv

The premiere will coincide with a special stage event at the Hakuhodo DY MaP Booth during the AnimeJapan 2025 event on March 22.
To celebrate the announcement, manga adaptation artist Mahito Aobe and A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO illustrator Shiina shared special illustrations.
Story Overview
The series follows Fia Ruud, an aspiring knight born into a famed family. While she seems the least talented, her dedication shines through. During a fateful mission to defeat a small demon, she faces a dragon instead, triggering memories of her past life as a powerful Saint. With newfound magic, Fia battles to become the knight she always dreamed of — if she can survive!
Seven Seas is releasing the light novels and manga in English. The 11th volume will be available on March 14, while the 12th manga volume is set for release on March 12.
Popularity and Legacy
The Tale of the Secret Saint has gained significant acclaim, ranking second in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook for both 2025 and 2024 editions.
Touya originally published the series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in January 2019. Subsequent print publications began in June 2019.

- Earth Star Entertainment also published the prequel light novels titled A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO. The first volume was released in July 2022.
- A manga adaptation for the prequel began in October 2023, with the third volume expected on March 12.
