Manga Background
Shimizu launched The Mononoke Lecture Logs in Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge in October 2019. Following the magazine's conclusion in October 2023, the manga has transitioned to Kodansha's Comic Days app. An eleventh compiled volume of the manga is set for release on March 7.
The manga is based on the Bara Jūji Sōsho (Rozen Kreuz Series) novels, which are part of a collaborative literary universe of Kyōgoku's Hyakki Yakō series. The ten-novel series, initiated in 2015, features various authors and illustrators, with Kyōgoku acknowledged as the "founder" of this shared world.
