Exciting News for Pokémon Fans: New Animated Series and More!
Teaser trailer released for 2027 series
Pokémon fans have a lot to look forward to! During the recent Pokémon Presents stream on Tuesday, a new stop-motion animated series was announced: Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd and Pichu. This exciting project is a collaboration with the renowned independent studio Aardman—the creators behind classics like Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.
Peter Lord, Cofounder and Creative Director at Aardman, shared that the series will be set in a region very close to their hearts. The teaser features beloved Pokémon Wooloo and Sirfetch'd, both originally introduced in the Pokémon Sword and Shield games set in the Galar region, inspired by the UK.

The series is set to debut in 2027!
In addition, another stop-motion series, Pokémon Concierge, launched in December 2023 on Netflix. Created by dwarf studios (known for Rilakkuma and Kaoru), it features four episodes with more in production, expected to release on September 4.
