Crunchyroll announced that it will stream two new films based on Rascal Does Not Dream (also known as Seishun Buta Yarō or Aobuta), covering the 8th and 9th novels of Hajime Kamoshida’s beloved series. The films are set to premiere this Saturday!

The Story and Production
These films mark the conclusion of the High School arc of the series. They were directed by Sōichi Masui at CloverWorks, with Masahiro Yokotani supervising and scripting. Satomi Tamura returned as the character designer and chief animation director.
Background on the Series
- The first anime adaptation, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, premiered in October 2018, covering the first five novels.
- The franchise has expanded with several movies, including Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (2019), which adapted volumes 6 and 7.
- A new upcoming anime, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, is set to premiere in 2025, continuing the story with the University Student Arc.
