Webtoon Sees 20-Fold Revenue Boost After Netflix Release
Netflix's live-action series Weak Hero Class 2—based on the popular webtoon—has achieved global success following its release. According to Korean entertainment media BnTNews, the webtoon recorded a 20-fold increase in monthly revenue compared to its post-completion average after the show premiered.
Global Streaming Success
Weak Hero Class 2 debuted on Netflix on April 25 and quickly climbed the platform's global charts:
- Top Non-English Series Worldwide (April 21–27): 6.1 million views (calculated by dividing watch hours by series runtime)
- Top 10 in 63 Countries: Including Brazil, Mexico, France, Belgium, Morocco, Greece, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand
- Ranked #2 (April 28–May 4): 6.4 million views
- Ranked #4 (May 5–11)
The first season had also made an impressive entry, ranking eighth globally and remaining in the top 10 for five consecutive weeks after its debut.
