About the Story

Kitchen Soldier, created by JRobin and illustrated by Jin-soo Lee, tells the story of a conscripted soldier who unexpectedly discovers his true calling — not on the battlefield, but in the army kitchen. Instead of a rifle, he wields a kitchen knife, embarking on a quest that feels like a game to become a legendary chef in the mess hall. Along the way, he faces bizarre culinary challenges that help him level up and grow.

Casting and Production

Actor Ji-hoon Park will star as Seong-jae Kang, a young man from a tough background who finds his hidden talents after enlisting. Fans may recognize Park from his breakout role in the webtoon-based live-action series Weak Hero Class 2.
