Korean broadcaster MBC has announced an upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular web novel and webtoon Judge Han-Young Lee. The series has garnered over 22 million views worldwide and is set to premiere in the second half of 2025.

What is Judge Han-Young Lee?

This story revolves around a corrupt judge who unexpectedly travels 10 years into the past. With a second chance, he aims to confront and dismantle the systemic corruption entrenched in the legal system.

Main Cast and Characters

Ji Sung as Judge Han-Young Lee — A failed judge who, after gaining power through questionable means, is transported back in time to rewrite his fate. He uses his influence to fight institutional corruption.
Hee-soon Park as Shin-jin Kang — The chief criminal judge at Seoul Central District Court. A key figure in a shadow government led by a former president, Kang is known for unethical verdicts and legal abuse. He becomes Lee’s main antagonist.
Jin-ah Won as Jin-ah Kim — A dedicated prosecutor seeking justice against a powerful corporation. She teams up with Lee and faces doubts about his changing loyalties.

The original web novel was penned by Hae-nal Lee and serialized in Naver Series in 2018. The webtoon, illustrated by Dol-dol Cheon, has been running on Naver Webtoon since 2020.
