Exciting News: 'Wind Breaker' Live-Action Film Set for December Release
Fans of the manga and upcoming movie, get ready! The staff behind the live-action adaptation of Wind Breaker, the popular manga by Satoru Nii, has just unveiled a new video and visual, confirming the film's release date: December 5.

Filming Details
Filming took place from February to April in Okinawa. The crew transformed a local shopping street into a vibrant set, dressing up shops and creating a large open set to bring the story to life.
Behind the Scenes
Directed by Kentarō Hagiwara (known for Blue Period, Tokyo Ghoul, and Dragons of Wonderhatch), the film's screenplay was penned by Yōsuke Masaike, a Japan Academy Prize winner. Warner Brothers is handling distribution.
About the Manga
Wind Breaker is licensed by Kodansha USA Publishing, which has been releasing it digitally since spring 2022. Starting in July, new print volumes will be released monthly.
What is Wind Breaker?
An adrenaline-filled manga set in a high school for delinquents turned heroes, fighting to protect their town. A new student arrives, eager to become the strongest, and chaos ensues.
Haruka Sakura, the protagonist, is determined to find strength and fight his way to the top at Furin High School, a place known for its brawling students.
The manga launched on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app in January 2021 and has expanded into a stage play and a mobile/PC game, further fueling its popularity.
