Anime Season Returns and Live-Action Film

The second season of the anime based on Wind Breaker, created by Satoru Nii, will air in 2025. The series concluded its latest episode this past Thursday, leaving fans excited with an early teaser for the upcoming live-action adaptation.

The movie was filmed locally in Okinawa between February and April. The production set up an extensive open set by renting a shopping street and transforming it to fit the story.

About the Manga & Its Popularity

Published by Kodansha USA Publishing, the Wind Breaker manga has been available digitally in English since spring 2022 and is now also released in print.

What is Wind Breaker?

An adrenaline-filled manga set in a high school for delinquents turned heroes. It follows a new student's fierce quest to become the strongest, offering an action-packed story for fans of Tokyo Revengers.

The series began in January 2021 on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app.

• Kodansha plans to release new print volumes monthly starting in July.

The Plot

Haruka Sakura, a new student at Furin High School, is determined to combat weakness and become the strongest fighter. Unlike others, he doesn't want to be a hero or part of a team — he just fights to level up.

• A Wind Breaker stage play ran in Osaka (Jan 1-3) and Tokyo (Jan 10-19), captivating audiences with its live performance experience.
• A game titled Wind Breaker: Heroic Tales of Delinquents launched on March 12 for smartphones and PC, expanding the franchise into interactive media.
