Exciting Updates for the New Anime
The official website for Yaiba: Samurai Legend (also known as Shin Samurai-den YAIBA), the latest anime adaptation of Gōshō Aoyama's classic manga, has revealed new promotional material for its second cours (quarter).

Cast and Themes
- Sayaka Senbongi joins the cast as Nadeshiko Yamato.
- The opening theme "Blade Kizuna ver" will be performed by Blue Encount.

Anime Premiere and Streaming
- Premiered on April 5 across YTV and NTV in Japan, airing at 5:30 p.m., just before Detective Conan.
- Available internationally on Netflix (North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand) and Hulu (U.S.).
- Viz Media has licensed the series and will release the manga in English starting July 8.
About the Series
Yaiba follows Yaiba Kurogane, who trains in the jungle to become a true samurai. Returning to Japan, he lives with the Mine family, connected to his father. His wild ways often surprise Sayaka Mine, and a fateful encounter with kendo expert Takeshi Onimaru unleashes ancient supernatural swords—the Fujinken (Wind God's Sword) and Raijinken (Thunder God's Sword). Their awakening reveals deep secrets about their history.**
