Yakuza 0: Director's Cut Arrives on Switch 2 This June
Sega has released a brand-new overview trailer for Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, introducing fans to all the fresh features coming to the updated version of the 2015 classic. This enhanced edition will launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, coinciding with the console's release date.

The Switch 2 version isn't just a port — it comes packed with new features:
- New cutscenes expanding the game's story
- Online multiplayer mode for added replayability
- New English dub, alongside text options in French, Italian, German, and Spanish
- The return of "Bubble," the opening song performed by Shōnan no Kaze, which was originally removed from Western releases

Yakuza 0: A Brief History
Originally released as Ryū ga Gotoku 0: Chikai no Basho, Yakuza 0 has seen several versions over the years:
- Japan: Launched for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in 2015.
- North America & Europe: Released in January 2017.
- PC (Steam): Arrived in August 2018.
- Xbox One: Became available in February 2020.
Sega also released a free-to-play PlayStation Vita app in Japan in 2015.
The Continuing Legacy
- Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the original Yakuza title, launched for Switch in October last year.
- The franchise's latest entry, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, released globally on February 21, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
- Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth hit stores in January 2024, further expanding the action RPG saga as a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
